受卡斯霍曼（Cas Holman）的儿童娱乐设计产品“蓝色大积木（BIG BLUE BLOCKS）”的启发，我们设计了“80's大积木”这款大型EVA泡棉益智玩具。

我们把中国80年代一些常见、但目前大多数已经基本看不到的物品（粘牙糖、喇叭裤、窝窝头、蜂窝煤、牛皮棉鞋、二八自行车车把及车轮、女士香槟、俄罗斯方块、橘子橡皮、顶针）进行模块化处理。孩子们在玩积木时，通过对积木进行不同地拼接组合，发挥他们自身的无限想象力。

“80's大积木”没有正确或错误的答案，这就增强了孩子们的自信心，提升了孩子们独立思考、学习和实践的能力，激发他们不断去探索新想法，创造新事物。

与此同时，这些80年代模块化的积木，还能让孩子们了解过去40年里，曾经流行过的“衣食住行”，大人们也可以从中回味曾经的静初岁月。这在日新月异的当下，显得多少有些难能可贵。

Inspired by Cas Holman's children's entertainment design "BIG BLUE BLOCKS", we designed the"1980's Big Blocks", the big EVA foam educational toys.
 
We modularize some common items in the 1980's China, but most of which can't be seen now, such as sticky tooth candy, bell bottoms, steamed bread of corn, honeycomb briquette, leather cotton shoes, bicycle handlebars and wheels, lady's champagne, Tetris, orange flavor rubber and thimble. Children can give the rein to their imagination by splicing the blocks while playing.
 
The "1980's Big Blocks" has no right or wrong answer, which enhances children's self-confidence and their ability of independent thinking, learning and practice. It also stimulates them to constantly explore new ideas and create new things.

At the same time, these modular building blocks of the 1980s can let the children understand the "basic necessities of life" that used to be popular in the past 40 years. The adults can also recall the quiet early years. This is changing with each passing day, it seems to be valuable in a time of rapid and dramatic change.
